Linefinder
Correct anatomical positioning of the upper model in the articulator unfortunately does not provide us with any reliable information about the actual course of the vertical axis of the face, which represents the bisection of the face. What we really need is an axis, which documents the face in an assumed vertical direction.
Advantages of the Linefinder
The "Linefinder", which we developed, enables us to transfer the longitudinal axis of the face to the articulator. This can be transferred regardless of which articulator or plain-line articulator is used. The fixation is the maxilla and is therefore unchangeable.
